Lets give credit where credit is due - no one on the green side is going to want to believe this but good old USA - under the reign of The Donald - had the largest REDUCTION in coal consumption as they switched to natural gas. The USA reduced coal consumption by 163 TerraWatt hours and added 40 TW of solar. They are the only country to reduce consumption by that much ... my homies in Canada did well too reducing by 36 TW Hours - better than Germany or Spain.
Then there is the other side of the coin - let us look at the bad boys !!!
India +306 TW hours - they added more coal than the USA, Canada, Spain, and Germany, the top four reducers - eliminated. But they did add 36.5 TW of Solar as well.
China +154 TW hours -- basically they added what the USA got rid of ( BTW they added 145 TW of Solar as well )
Indonesia +124 TW Hours
Vietnam +111 TW hours
Pakistan +55 TW Hours
Kazhakstan +51 TW hours
Russia +31.8 TW hours
This really shows .. in my opinion - that it doesn't MATTER AT ALL what the West does if ASIA continues to add on more and more coal. There is all this BS about how China and India are adding solar and going green - yes they are but NO WHERE NEAR at the rate they are adding coal, oil and natural gas.
