How effective has it been to fight against pipelines?

by Phil Harris

How effective has it been to fight against pipelines ? The USA has increased imports from Russia while the liberals the greens and the NDP in Canada along with Biden fight against pipelines.
Quebec bans a natural gas pipeline - which would ship the most ESG compliant natural gas in the world to overseas markets to reduce their dependance on coal. All this in the name of environmentalism.

Meanwhile ...Easterrn Canada also imports more oil from Saudi and the USA rather than pipeline Alberta and Saskatchewan oil to the East.

Remember Lac Magentic - huge rail explosion of light USA crude shipped by RAIL in a Quebec town. Rail is not the answer. Also, Quebec has the worst history of pipeline incidents in Canada - mostly on pipelines owned and managed by Quebec companies. Some jobs you just gotta let the pro's do it.
